As an endorsing body, we evaluate and authorize qualified clergy and ministry personnel to serve in diverse environments, including the military, hospitals, correctional facilities, and other government and civic institutions.

We maintain the authority to grant, sustain, and withdraw ecclesiastical endorsements in accordance with our faith’s doctrinal standards and ethical expectations.

Our commitment is both pastoral and professional: to ensure that those who represent our faith do so with integrity, compassion, and spiritual maturity.

What is ECCLESIASTICAL ENDORSEMENT?

The written acknowledgement that an individual is in good standing and meets the qualifications for clergy credentials within that faith group/denomination. Generally speaking, major institutions, federal/state correctional systems, and healthcare facilities require that chaplains and pastoral counselors have this endorsement of their respective faith group/denomination. WMCA CHAPLAINCY ENDORSEMENT (Requirements)

Ordination (Letter or certificate)
Two years pastoral experience
Master of Divinity Education or equivalent
1 to 4 units of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education)
Three professional references
Background check
Interview/approval by WMCA panel and Endorser
